Player Contract

I would like to accept the place on the Soccer Forces team I have been offered.  I understand once I sign this contract and am registered to this team that I will remain a member of this team until the end of the current soccer year (for Soccer Forces this is from August 1 to July 31).  I will also abide by the rules of participation and recruitment of Kansas Youth Soccer.  

I will follow the 3 Basic Rules:

1.     Do What is Right

2.     Do Your Best

3.     Treat Others the Way You Want to be Treated

in my relationship with the members of my team, the coaching staff and in my behavior during soccer  practices, matches, and when traveling with the team so that the answer to each of the 3 Basic Questions:

1.     Can I Trust You?

2.     Are You Committed?

3.     Do You Care About Me As A Person?

is always yes.

I understand I am joining a competitive team and that I will be required to attend all practices unless circumstances beyond my control occur that keep me from attending.  I will let the coaches know the reason for my absence in advance with the knowledge that unexcused absences may affect my playing time and, possibly, a position in an upcoming tournament.  I know that there may be events in which the team roster is restricted so that all members may not attend and that the coaches will make the decision concerning the final roster jointly with input from the manager as needed.

I will notify the coaches and/or manager at least 2 weeks before any tournament, scrimmage, match, or practice of any conflict with my attendance of the event to allow for a guest player to take my place.  With the exception of illness, injury, death in the family, or other unforeseen event I am aware that, in the case of an event involving an entry fee, I may lose all or part of the fee I have paid to participate in the event if I do not make the notification in a timely manner.

Registration fees for the current soccer year are due with completed paperwork.   I will also make sure that all entry fees are paid at the beginning of each season unless other arrangements are made with the manager of the team.  The manager will maintain a record of my payments and provide an accounting of my balance when needed.  If I am not selected as part of a tournament team or an emergency prohibits me from attending, I will receive credit for that team event.  This credit will be used to cover later fees in the soccer year.  If I still have a positive balance in my player account at the end of the soccer year I will have the option to close my account with Soccer Forces and receive the balance or continue my account into the new soccer year.  I understand that any team property must be returned before I can receive a reimbursement.

In the event that the team pays a fee to enter a tournament or other event, but does not attend for any reason, I understand that my account will be charged my portion of the entry fee if I am listed on the roster for that event 2 weeks or less prior to the date of participation.  (If the event in question grants a refund, that amount will be deducted before the players’ portions are calculated.)

When traveling with the team I will review the Rules for Traveling With the Forces and follow those rules at all times to include team activities and curfews knowing that violation of the rules or causing another player to violate the rules in a way that is disruptive to the team or others may cause me to be removed from the team for the remainder of the tournament or sent home immediately.

I have read and understand the Soccer Forces FAQs and the process for other teams requesting guest players and the possible outcome for violation of KYSA and Soccer Forces rules.  If contacted by a coach requesting my participation on another team as a guest or double rostered player before hearing from my coach or manager, I will refer that coach to my Soccer Forces team officials and notify these same officials myself that I have been contacted.  (Please retain a copy of these documents for reference.

By signing this contract I agree to abide by the terms described, knowing that violation of these rules and conditions may result in actions by the coaches and manager up to and including my being removed from the team roster.
